Investor relations

We're built to route most of our value away from investors.

If you are here looking for a conventional return, IMCeleste is probably not the right home for your money. Here is exactly what you would be backing.

How the company works

How the company works.

Where the value goes

We are building IMCeleste so that the greater of 5% of our revenue or 70% of our profit reaches the people this technology puts out of work every year, and we are building toward giving those workers a real stake in the company itself. That is the point of the business. It also sends value away from the place an investor usually looks for it, and we have no intention of changing that.

Why we took no outside money

A promise to share most of the value is only believable if the company is not quietly built for investor returns underneath it. So we are bootstrapped. The dilution that funds the give-back is carried by the people who already own the company, founders included. We think that makes the commitment easier to trust, and we know it makes us a poor fit for a venture portfolio.

We are not a charity

We are not a charity, and we are not against profit. We intend to be a profitable business that lasts and pays its people well. The profit is real, and we plan to make plenty of it. We have simply decided that most of it should end up with the people whose work was automated rather than with shareholders.

Fit

Who this is for.

Most investors should read the left column and move on with no hard feelings. A narrow few will recognize the right one.

Probably not the right fit
  • You are investing for a market-rate financial return.
  • You expect the value a company creates to flow mainly to its shareholders.
  • You want a clear path to a large exit or a steady dividend for owners.
Might be the right fit
  • You are patient or mission-aligned capital, the kind that measures success in more than return.
  • You would rather help prove the gains from automation can be shared than try to capture them.
  • You want to back the idea with your eyes open, knowing the upside for investors is limited on purpose.
The investors we want are the few who understand exactly what they are backing.

If that sounds like you, we would genuinely like to talk.
